Munuki FC finishes in third place in 2023/24 Season

Kator FC beats Munuki FC 2:0 to close the gap against fourth-place Viva Star FC to one point.

Kator FC took the lead in the 17th minute of the first half through Makueth to take his goal tally to 4 goals in 2 matches for Lobera sides however Kator FC defender commonly referred to as Van Dijk doubled the score line through a thunderous shot fired from 18 yards leaving Munuki FC keeper helpless.

Kator FC have collected 6 points from their last two games beating Atlabara FC 3:1 last week courtesy of Makueth’s hat-trick against the Bara Boys in the Juba Local Football Association league before beating Munuki Fc 2:0 on Tuesday evening in a game played in Buluk Training Centre.

Whereas for Munuki FC, their title hopes were shuttered after they were beaten by fellow title rival Rainbow FC 1:0 last week in what many described as the Munuki Derby.

Two straight defeats against Rainbow FC and on Tuesday to Kator FC-Lobera condemned the Snakes to finish the 2023/2024 season with 41 points out of all their 24 games of the campaign.

Some of the games played on Tuesday, show El-Merriekh FC Juba demolished relegation threaten Citizen FC 7:1. Both Sebit Sabitvo and teammate Abash Ngor scored a brace each in the game. While under Akoon, the Caretaker Coach, Atlabara FC after the defeat to the Lobera boys last week, bounced to winning ways by beating Zal Zal FC  2:0 on Tuesday evening.

As the season comes to an end, yesterday’s fixtures show Interim Coach Nicholas Peter Orat’s side Gudele FC who are second bottom of the league entertain Al-Hilal FC at 4 PM Munuki Playground while Al-Rabita FC who are third bottom host fourth-place Viva Star FC at Buluk Training Centre 4 PM.
