Chinese Embassy donates food to Islamic Council

Embassy of China in Juba has donated food items that included sunflower oil, rice, and flour, to South Sudan Islamic Council on Tuesday. 

During the donation ceremony, Ambassador Ma Qiang expressed his congratulations to the Islamic Council and the Muslim community for successfully concluding Eid Al-Fitr.

“On the occasion of the Eid Al-Fitr, the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Republic of South Sudan extends its sincere greetings to the friendly Muslims of South Sudan and wishes the people of auspicious Eid, today the Chinese Embassy donates a batch of rice, flour and sunflower oil to South Sudanese Muslims, in hope of bringing them blessings and helps,’’ he said.

Ambassador Qiang emphasised the importance of the strong relationship and cooperation between China and the Muslim community in South Sudan.

He expressed China’s commitment to promoting global civilization initiatives, enhancing people-to-people connectivity, and working together to build a shared future for mankind in the new era.

For his part, Dr. Abdulla Burj Rawal, the General Secretary of the Islamic Council, expressed gratitude to the Chinese Ambassador and his team, highlighting the enduring relationship between the South Sudan Islamic Council and China.

‘’We are much honored to receive you the Ambassador and your team, this unity will continue, and we are happy for your donation,’’ he said.

Dr. Rawal expressed confidence in the continued cooperation and goodwill between the Muslim community and the people of China.

The Ambassador and the leadership of the South Sudan Islamic Council further solidified their collaboration by signing a certificate of cooperation during the occasion.
