Central Bank launches Wau branch construction

Governor of the Bank of South Sudan (BoSS), Dr. James Alic Garang, has inaugurated the construction of the BoSS branch office in Wau town, Western Bahr el Ghazal state.

Speaking during the groundbreaking ceremony on Friday, Governor Alic said the construction of the branch office marks a significant milestone in the banking sector.

“Today marks a significant milestone in South Sudan’s banking and financial history,” said Alic.

“We are honored to be part of this historic event that will shape the future of banking education in our country,” he added.

He said the bank institution aims to enhance the capabilities of South Sudanese banking professionals by equipping them with the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate the complexities of the modern financial industry.

“Through this institute, the BoSS seeks to provide world-class education and training programs and empower its workforce to meet the evolving demands of the banking sector,” he noted.

He appreciated the Western Bahr el Ghazal State government, led by Governor Sarah Cleto Rial, for providing the space to establish the institute.

Governor Sarah Cleto Rial welcomed the establishment of the institute in Wau town, affirming the state government’s continued support for the project.
