Central Equatoria State’s Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM) chairperson, Augustino Jadalla Kamilo Wani, has called for the state leadership to put more effort into ensuring the effective implementation of the party’s policies.

Jadalla made this call during a meeting with the party leadership of the state at the party’s secretariat in Juba.

He said the party needs to ensure that it has effective administration and implementation of good policies up to the grassroots level.

“There is need to have continuous visitation and engagement with the grassroots members and leadership,” said Comrade Jadalla.

He emphasized that the party needs to ensure that some of the issues the people are facing are addressed.

Speaking to the press shortly after the meeting, Latio Paul Abas, the Spokesperson of the SPLM Central Equatoria State Secretariat, said the state party chairperson had an exclusive meeting with the party leadership and had the opportunity to listen to a number of cross-cutting issues across the state.

“We presented a range of issues affecting the people and the state in general, most especially the issues to do with land grabbing, communal disputes and violence, crimes, as well as the issues of IDPs,” Abas said, adding that anticipated floods, child abduction, hunger, and high prices of food items were also among the issues shared.

“The SPLM Chairperson of Central Equatoria State is very responsive and also took note of the issues we presented, and most of the things that are within his capacity as the Governor of Central Equatoria State,” Abas said.
