The construction of the Bank of South Sudan’s (BoSS) new headquarters is progressing steadily, with the project expected to be completed.
During a recent site visit, BoSS Governor Dr. James Alic Garang expressed his appreciation for the work done by the Shandong Construction Company and its team of engineers.
“Each time I come here, my hopes are raised, and our hopes are raised as people and as an institution interested in delivering on this landmark project,” Governor Garang said.
“We are very thankful to Shandong Construction Company for their efforts and to all the people involved in making this project a success.”
According to the General Manager of Shandong Company, the construction site has mobilized more than 600 workers to ensure the timely and high-quality completion of the new BoSS headquarters.
“We have a full commitment to mobilizing every necessary resource,” the General Manager revealed.
“We have between 600 to 700 people on the ground to ensure that the work is delivered with the highest quality.”
The new BoSS building will feature ample office spaces to accommodate the bank’s employees, as well as a modern conference hall and sports facilities, including a gymnasium and a basketball court.
On June 8th, 2024, Governor Garang, accompanied by his First Deputy Samuel Yanga and other senior government officials, conducted a site assessment to review the progress of the construction project.
The new BoSS headquarters is poised to become a landmark in Juba, South Sudan, as the central bank looks to modernize its operations and provide a more conducive working environment for its staff.
