President Salva Kiir Mayardit on Monday, 24th June 2024, relieved two key political figures in the Revitalized Government of National Unity.
In Republican Decree, the President laid off Northern Bahr El Ghazal State governor, Tong Akeen Ngor, and national minister of trade and Industry, William Anyuon Kuol.
Reading the decrees on the national broadcaster, the South Sudan Broadcasting Corporation (SSBC), no reasons were advanced to the development that resulted into exit of the two leaders from office.
Meanwhile, the President appointed Ambassador, Ajonga Mawut as the new governor for Northern Bahr Ghazal state, whereas, Ambassador, Joseph Mum Ajak secures Ministry of Trade and Industry, leadership.
