The wild like no other place on earth is the only place where the impossible and unthinkable happens at once.
It is a place where one feels like a complete waste of life or a leftover of creation. Life in the wild starts in the morning and ends in the evening. You are a hero if you live to see a new day, only a few do. A lot happens during the day that decreases your chances of survival.
Between the morning and the day, there is one thing that runs through your miserable life, the fear of the unknown. Misery is a must if you don’t know where happiness is sold and if you know the place, it is costly to buy it. If you are a member of the group, the group will never come to your rescue when you are singled out from the pack because everyone has a life to protect. The wonderful world moves on with or without you. Life is too hard to work your entire life people. You get it right, just live.
There is no meaning in the animal world. Everyday is like yesterday and it all goes down to how fast or slow you run. The sad part of everything is that most animals lead short lifespans and violent ends. Imagine an antelope, who just gave birth a few days ago and in the process of raising the baby, pursued by a pack of hungry hyenas: it eventually gives up, is captured and eaten alive, with the baby.
Do you know how that one feels, being eaten by a group of heartless animals? You struggle to fight back but it only shows how vulnerable you are. That is how most animals leave this world after a painful life on Earth. There is no peaceful end. It is always hard from the beginning to the end.
You also have wildfires started somewhere and imagine the pain that little animals like rats and tortoises must go through when they are burned down. And they can’t run and when they do, it is one of the two; it is either it is not good enough or they don’t know where they are running. They must die and not an easy one, one where you are burned to ashes with your family. You just go to sleep at night, not knowing that it will be the last night and if you have ever had supper the previous night, it was going to be your last. That is how it is in the wild.
For animals that survived the fire, it is not easy to find home again or even a temporary place to call home. The search for a new home comes with a mental cost. It will always not be like your previous home. If there is a hell on earth, the wild is one.
Everything is uncertain, you don’t know where you will get your next meal or if you will ever live to see another day but one thing is always certain, the day when you will be taken down by your enemy, when you are eaten by hungry and angry groups of animals.
A lot of animals in the wild die shortly after coming into existence, with their lives containing little or no more than the pain of their deaths. And they likely die in pain after having lived a painful short life.
Today we are going to go through the life of a lion. You cannot ever dream of becoming a lion if you are a hare because it will be a waste of time. If you can’t be something, fall in love with what you are, the good and the bad. And if you have time, use it to be happy. Don’t be busy wanting to be what you are not. And if your life is really bad, I mean if it really sucks, maybe you should know that it is not the end of the road.
You have a second chance at life and if it doesn’t work, (I know it will or it will not depending on God’s mood) you should appreciate the fact that this life was freely handed to you and nothing is ever lost because you will be gone one day and the world will never be a different place, just a kind reminder.
The lion is the strongest animal God has ever created but he is not always happy because he feels like his enough is nothing. Don’t postpone happiness when it feels like you are not doing enough. When a lion is satisfied, he looks for an animal to kill, just for fun to make him happy. He finds joy in the suffering of other animals. The world is too big for one person to think it is his everything and even bigger for those who think they own it.
Every day is the worst new day for any lion because he wants to have everything that comes with that day. He even wants to eliminate flies and when he is angry, he sheds some crocodile tears and the flies will just come to drink from his well of tears and they will be eaten up. Imagine flies, how many flies will it take for a lion to feel like he has eaten something? For flies, they are among the few insects that came into existence by mistake because they have a shorter lifespan.
They live for a week or two and within these few weeks, they want to touch almost anything they come across. Houseflies must make sure they sit on anything because they don’t have time. It is madness for a lion to think that those little insects are an existential threat to him. That is why he doesn’t enjoy all that God has given him because he thinks that everyone is his enemy.
When God destroys the world, he will take the lion’s strength and change him to an antelope. The reverse. He must go through everything, the sleepless nights and days of running from an enemy because the lion himself will never appreciate what he has. He will continue to want more and more and more when it is more than what he has got, he will want more than what he has. Peace.
