Central Equatorial State Governor, Gen. Augustino Jadalla Kamilo Wani, has made sweeping changes in the administration, including replacing the Yei River Zone Director of Revenue.
In a series of gubernatorial orders issued on Thursday, Chandiga Michael Martin was relieved of his duties as the Director of Revenue for Yei River Zone and replaced by Mr. Mawa Rufas Sosthenes. The reasons for the changes were not immediately disclosed.
The governor also ordered the State Ministry of Finance and Planning, the State Investment Authority, and the State Revenue Authority to implement the changes effective immediately.
In a separate decree, the Central Equatoria State Butcher’s Association, led by Peter Lado Bero was banned indefinitely. The decree noted that the government will establish a steering committee to oversee the sector until normalcy returns.
The State Ministry of Animal Resources, Fisheries, Tourism, Juba City Council, Juba County, and security agencies have been tasked with enforcing the ban.
Additionally, the Central Equatorial State Driver’s Union has been suspended until further notice. The State Ministry of Roads and Bridges, Juba City Council, Juba County, and state security are responsible for implementing this order.
All the directives took effect on Thursday, July 18, 2024.
