Kiir fires undersecretary, state officials

In a series of decrees announced on state television, President Salva Kiir reshuffled an undersecretary, commissioners, lawmakers, and state ministers across the country.

Among the key changes, Kiir fired Eng. Peter Akok Jak as Undersecretary of the Ministry of Roads and Bridges, replacing him with Philip Thon Juarwel Mabior.

In Central Equatoria State, the President relieved Kajo-Keji County Commissioner Phanuel Dumo Jame, an SPLM-IO member, and replaced him with David Lisi Christopher, from the same party.

Similar moves were made in other states.

In Lakes State, Kiir dismissed Wulu County Commissioner, Juma Marial Jak of the Other Political Parties (OPP) bloc, replacing him with Justin Majok Manyiel, a bird of a feather.

The President also fired Cueibet County Commissioner, Samuel Marial Makuach of SPLM-IO, appointing, Deng Mario Deng, as the new commissioner.

Further north, in Jonglei State, the president removed David William Tut as Trade and Industry Minister, installing Majur Kout Dire Kout from OPP in his stead.

Kiir also dismissed Ghai Ajith Lek, the National Agenda representative in the state assembly, replacing him with Chol Niam Nyakcida.

Similar reshuffling occurred in Western Equatoria State, where Kiir fired Mbolo County Commissioner Joel Dumo of SPLM-IO and replaced him with Reuben Amaai Majok.

He also appointed Wilson Kakela Hassen as Ezo County Commissioner under the OPP banner.

The presidential decrees also saw the removal of several state legislators, including Phillip Adigo and John Esborn Ibiri of SPLM-IO, as well as the dismissal of Simon Makan, the State Security Affairs Advisor, who was replaced by William Mabas Odil of SPLM-IO.

He fired, James Ramadam -SPLM-IO and appointed, Tito Abujon Khamis-SPLM-IO member of parliament.
