Free entry for Sudanese Club games in Juba Stadium

Sudanese football fans will have the opportunity to watch their beloved clubs compete in the CAF Confederations Cup and Champions League free of charge.

Both Al-Merriekh FC and Al-Hilal FC, who are currently based in Juba due to the ongoing conflict in Sudan, have announced free admission for their upcoming matches.

Al-Merriekh FC President Omar Al-Numair revealed that fans can watch their team’s return leg against Al-Nasr of Libya at Juba Stadium at no cost.

Meanwhile, Al-Hilal FC has decided to broadcast their match against Al-Ahly Benghazi FC via satellite TV to ensure that their supporters worldwide can tune in.

Al-Merriekh FC and Al-Hilal FC were granted permission by the CAF to play their matches outside Khartoum due to the escalating conflict in 2023.

The two clubs arrived in Juba earlier this week and were welcomed by the Sudanese ambassador at Juba International Airport.

The first leg of Al-Merriekh FC’s match against Al-Nasr ended in a goalless draw, and Al-Numair hopes that free admission will attract more fans to support the team.

Al-Hilal FC, on the other hand, holds a 1-0 advantage over Al-Ahly Benghazi after the first leg of their Champions League clash.

Both matches will take place at Juba Stadium, with Al-Merriekh FC facing Al-Nasr on Saturday and Al-Hilal FC hosting Al-Ahly Benghazi on Sunday.
