Jamus FC faces player shortage for season-opener

By Kei Emmanuel Duku

Jamus FC Juba will be missing three key players for their upcoming match against Malakia FC in the 2024/25 Juba Local Football Association Super Cup.

Goalkeeper, Majak Mawith Maling, Samuel Taban Malish, and Laku Benjamin are currently representing the South Sudan National Team in Congo Brazzaville.

The Supper Cup, to be played at Juba Stadium on today, will feature the 2024 South Sudan Cup champions Jamus FC against the 2023/24 Juba Premier League winners.

In other news, Jamus FC has confirmed the departure of Sudanese coach Abdulaziz Mohammed. Mohammed was recently appointed to manage Buffalo FC during their pre-season camp in Rwanda and the CAF Inter-Club Confederations Cup fixtures.

However, there is some positive news for Jamus FC. Head Coach Andrea has returned from a short trip to Rwanda and will be leading the team. Additionally, defender Kerbino Kuai is back in training after a month-long absence due to university exams. Kuai missed Jamus FC’s pre-season tour and recent CAF Confederation matches.

The season opener between Jamus FC and Malakia FC promises to be an exciting match.
