Viva Stars, Munuki FC advance to third round of South Sudan Cup

Both Munuki FC and Viva Stars were winners yesterday in the third round of the South Sudan Cup under the Juba Local Football Association played in Buluk Training Centre.

Munuki FC came from a goal down to overcome Bajur FC 2:1 when Jackson had given Bajur a lead within the first 15 minutes however Apak Nhial former Nujum Matar defender equalized before halftime.

As Bajur stood defending throughout the second half, it was Peter Dusman who scored the winning goal for the based side as sailed through to the fourth round of the South Sudan Cup 2024/24.

The second game of the day showed Viva Stars thrashing Gumbo FC 3:0 as the halftime ended 3:0 despite being shown a red card in the first half.

Actions return today with Al-Rabita FC hosting Black Eagle FC at 1 PM at Buluk Training Centre while at the end of the day, Kator FC host Zahra FC at Buluk Training Centre at 3 PM.

Some of the teams that have reached round eight of the South Sudan Cup in 2024/25 include Atlabara FC, Nyakuron FC, Al-Merriekh FC, Logogo FC, Nujum Jamaric, and defending Champions Jamus FC among others.
