Africa Zeal University’s 45 pioneers to graduate

Africa Zeal University (AZU), established in 2018 and officially launching lectures in 2021, is set to celebrate its first graduation ceremony this weekend, conferring degrees to 45 students in its inaugural class.

On Saturday, November 16, the graduands will receive their credentials in two primary fields: the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, and the Faculty of Computer Science.

Taban Augustin Joseph, Chief Executive Officer of Africa Zeal University, informed No. 1 Citizen that 41 of the graduands will earn Bachelor’s Degrees, while the remaining four will be awarded Diplomas.

“We have forty-five graduands, in which we have forty-one are graduating with Bachelor Degree programs in the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, then four in the Faculty of Computer Science, Diploma program,” said Joseph.

Currently, the university runs four faculties namely; Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, Faculty of Computer Science, Faculty of Education, and Faculty of Agriculture Engineering.

Mr. Joseph said the university plans to expand in the near future with additional faculties like Engineering, Law, Pharmacology, and Medicine.

With full accommodation, feeding, internet, a conducive learning environment, extracurricular activities, and other benefits, Joseph said, the tuition fees at AZU range from U.S. dollars 250-800 per semester.

“If you want to study within the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration for a Bachelor Degree, the tuition fee alone is about 250 dollars apart from requirements,” adding that, “basically per semester especially for students studying Bachelor Degree, the total fee may come to 750-800 dollars.”

The official highlighted that; the varsity “uniquely” offers three semesters per academic year.

He encourages learners seeking to pursue further studies to enroll to AZU and experience top-notch academic discipline that suits the job market.

Africa Zeal University among other private universities in the country met the standards and got accreditation from the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology.

South Sudan Vice President and Chair of Economic Cluster, Dr. James Wani Igga is expected to attend the graduation ceremony this Saturday in Yapa-Lo’bonok Payam, Juba County.
