Unity state graduates over 300 police officers

Unity State government has graduated 381 police officers with the hope of cracking down on crimes to maintaining law and order in the area.

According to the state governor’s press unit, the forces who graduated after six-months refresher course, will be deployed to maintain law and order.

Unity State Governor, Justice Riek Bim Top, in his remarks during the graduation ceremony that the state would improve law enforcement since they received new skills during the training.

“I order the urgent deployment of the 381 police graduates who have completed the training, and your work as police is to protect the civilians and prevent crime in Unity State and neighbouring areas like Ruweng and along the borders with Lakes and Warrap states,” the statement partly read.

Governor Bim appealed to the police to commit to their work of protecting people and their property.

He urged the forces to prevent crime in the area as well as the neighbouring areas and state that peaceful co-existence can lead to prosperity in the country.

The government appealed to the residents to embrace peace among themselves and with neighbours.
On a separate note, Governor Bim continues to appeal to the residents in Unity State to embrace.

According to the governor’s press unit, recently, speaking during the Christmas service in Bentiu, Governor Riek Bim underscored the significance of unity and harmony in fostering progress for the entire community.

“The governor highlighted the importance of Christmas to the Christians, as it is a day of repentance, confession, and, above all, a renewal of our union with God,” the statement partly read.

“He emphasized that Christmas is not only a time for celebration but also a moment for reflection, repentance, confession, and renewal of one’s relationship with God.” It read.

Bim reminded the faithful that peace is essential for long-term prosperity and that only through unity can the state overcome its challenges and move towards a brighter future.
