Ruweng to establish cooperative societies

Chief Administrator of the Ruweng Administrative Area (RAA), Tiob De Monyluak, recently inspected the Palath Agriculture Scheme and pledged to establish agricultural cooperative societies to enhance farming activities.

During his visit to the Palath Agriculture Scheme in Touch County over the weekend, the Chief Administrator intend to encourage farmers in crop production as part of the initiative to combat hunger.

While addressing the media, Tiob expressed his appreciation to the farmers for their dedication to crop production.

He stated that the government is committed to increasing food production by 2025.

He emphasized that the establishment of agricultural cooperative societies will facilitate better coordination among farmers.

“The government of RAA will establish agricultural cooperative societies in eight counties across the Ruweng Administrative Area in 2025,” he affirmed.

Tiob also noted that these cooperative societies will engage more young people in the region, providing significant benefits to 100 young men and women in each county.

He highlighted the positive impact of the Palath Agricultural Scheme on the local economy and urged the people of Ruweng to remain united and focused on food production.

Bataria Monyror Maker expressed her gratitude to the Chief Administrator and the government for their efforts in promoting agricultural production in the area.

She encouraged governors of other states to adopt similar initiatives, asserting that advancing the agricultural sector would help increase food production and address hunger and food insecurity in the country.

Recently, Tiob has also called on Ruweng residents to embrace peace and engage in agriculture.

He reiterated the government’s commitment to ensure harmony among residents and with neighbouring states.
“I urge everyone to embrace peace and forgiveness and to engage in agriculture to improve food production and fight hunger,” he stated.

Tiob encouraged residents to use the Christmas season as an opportunity to forgive one another and promote peace.

He assured that both the administrative area government and the national government are dedicated to encouraging everyone to participate in food production.
