Tut Gatluak relieved

 President Salva Kiir Mayardit has in a Decree last evening, removed Tut Gatluak Manime from his position as Presidential Advisor on Security Affairs.

Thoi Chany Reat has been appointed as the new presidential advisor on security Affairs.

In a separate Decree, read on State broadcaster SSBC, Tut Gatluak was appointed as Special Envoy on Middle East Affairs.

In other Decrees, Kiir removed the Chairperson of the Relief and Rehabilitation Commission (RRC), Gatwech Peter Kulang and appointed Stephen Kuer Gach as the new chairperson.

In an Order, Kiir has also dissolved the National Transitional Council, a body tasked with the implementation of the Revitalized Agreement on the Resolution of Conflict in South Sudan (R-ACSS) and reconstituted the Committee, now headed by Gen. Kuol Manyang Juuk, Senior Presidential Advisor.

The President also dissolved the Board of Directors of Nile Petroleum Cooperation in another order. A new board has also been formed, with the Minister of Presidential Affairs as the new chairperson
