Our planet earth, the mother’s womb of all living creatures, is such a beautiful and eco-friendly environment where human beings play football around the world, from the underdeveloped nations to the most developed one.
It is loved by all people of different genders, ages, colors, abilities and disabilities.
Can it witness an event where continental teams compete for confederation world cup to determine which continent would emerge as the strongest team in the world?
The history of football is traced back many centuries ago before the birth of Jesus Christ, however, it started taking its shape as we see it nowadays in medieval England in the 12th century A.D in accordance to Gregorian Calendar.
Football is the most loved sport in the world, attracting diversified fans from different aspects of life, being its people from different colors, ages, genders, societies, religions, abilities, disabilities, and …..etc.
As a fan of football, I witnessed different competitions in which there is a league competition that involves qualified clubs of a country to compete for a cup, a zonal championship like CECAFA championship for clubs and national teams to gear up for the title of being the best club or national team in the zone, as well as clubs world cup and FIFA world cup for the national teams to claim for which club and national team will be the best team in the world.
Such competitions inspired me to think deep into the world of football if there could be an event where world continents would compete for the confederation cups to find out which continent would emerge the best continent in the world.
In other words we have seen legends like Cristiano Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Leonel Messi, Neymar, Luka Modric, Lewandowski, and many more players representing their clubs, and national teams in the world, therefore I would expect to see them representing their continents in their respected confederations where we would see CONCACAF team plays against CAF team, AFC team takes on OFC team….etc in confederation world cup.
In my opinion, such event would bring positive impacts into the world where fans book and buy tickets to travel where the world cup is played. The event would also leverage the economies of host countries.
In conclusion, I would expect the Head of FIFA to consider this idea and work towards it to see it in the real life bringing positive changes to the world. To see it being played every five years or after national teams’ world cup.
