Mabior mentioned that authorities have recovered at least 45 cattle, while the remaining animals are still missing.
“We are cooperating with the authorities in Unity State, and the SSPDF forces have retrieved 45 cattle. The government of Mayom County is working around the clock to recover the remaining cattle. They are moving from cattle camp to cattle camp, identifying the cows that belong to us, and will notify us to take them through the SSPDF,” said the commissioner.
He urged the youth to exercise restraint as efforts continue to recover the stolen cattle.
Recently, 200 cows were returned by Mayom County authorities after being looted by armed youths from the neighboring Unity State.
