Abortion isn’t a shortcut but rather a deadly cut

By Gabriel Patrick Lagu

As difficult as it is to accept one’s shortcomings in this generation, for a century of merciless assassins, the blood of the innocent unborn is always being shed as a daily routine.

The blood spills lament scrolls of distress and uncertainties. Such a dirty century; where has it happened that a mother kills her own child? Are we cannibals now, or what image does it really portray? And when you hear them saying, “It’s just a mistake; I never intended to get pregnant,” oh, really, taking one’s life is now a mistake? I wonder if any pills will ever be able to cure this generation.

The present-day waves of civilization have imposed a new and useless culture in the lives of the youth. The virus from this new trend will continue to spread and infect generations to come when everybody is quiet in their best zones.

Our beloved African heritage and cultures have really suffered a lot of shortcomings all from the Western world in the name of modernized culture. Grand Africa, the mother of humanity, has suffered a series of deficiencies, causing its culture to be slowly draining from sight.

Our current bearers of cultures have already failed us in securing the future of the beloved Africa everyone expected.

There used not to be what so-called abortion in old Africa is. Life was treasured above all as an asset of prestige and respect. Those who didn’t give birth are rather undermined and, in most cases, considered as children, however many grey hairs they have. It’s really high time to re-access the African teachings passed down the long ancestry lineages of the wise.

Not as life used to be before, life is currently not valued. These are the days when wild animals are in zoos, yet individuals are still entitled to have guns. The same weapons are supposed to be used for protection against carnivores.
However, carnivores are secured far away from human settlements. Rather, in contrast, these weapons are kept to pay tribute to another man. Death has now become a cheap path to travel with less friction.
It’s much more deafening when intel on abortion owns the streets. A glorified abomination gaining her superiority.
Victims have the perception of being free after aborting the unborn child to cover up the mess they have stepped into. And what they always say, “It was a mistake, (Walaii ana Khan ma ghassid).”

It is said that the fruits of an unrighteous man are always collected in the day. So, all this while, someone commits fornication, and when the ripe time has come for the harvest of the seed, that’s when problems are ignited.
Haven’t you already tarnished your image? At first fornication and secondly, abortion, fingers of guilt must definitely point at you.

How does it feel to slaughter your only child? Does it sound even nice? If so, then you must deal with your sanity.
In a broader thought, think of the repercussions of causing possible damage to one’s womb. Such a tragic loss to experience. Then, this clearly images abortion not as a backlash to divert, and never will it be even.

However deadly the potential outcomes, In a recent Wikipedia analysis of 2024, depicting countries that legalized this brutal act, the website managed to publish a stumbling list of 67 countries that accepted this life-staking drama. And to some extent even, citizens proceeded afar to reach out for protests in day cinemas, bus parks, and offices to public formal institutions with provocative banners requesting to legalize abortion.

This is now whereby when we realize that humanity has lost her eminent dignity, life is now a lottery, a prize to win and lose in everyday tasks. Our universe is experiencing an evolution in morals in the sense that people no longer mourn at funerals; rather, they weep over hacked YouTube or Instagram accounts.

It’s much of a shame to realize that among the 67 countries that legalized abortion, most of them are ones with a reputable Christian foundation. Apart from Christianity, other religious sects denounce abortion. The main idea is that a religion is situated under the guidance of God the Supreme Master; hence, no one is eligible to take another’s life that counts as a sin.

In the traditional Catholic doctrine, the church teaches her faithful to abstain from things dealing with taking one’s life. The church points out the sixth commandment from the Decalogue, “Thou shalt not kill,” against cases of murder.

Abortion in the Catholic Church is considered murder, so one who falls short of it commits a mortal sin.
Islam, in accordance, does ban abortion for the sacredness of life.

The major point of emphasis is that life is not something manufactured on this earth, thus divine and sacred.
Slowly but surely, the world crawled and has come to live on the past philosophical statement “Hard times create strong men, strong men create good times, and good times create weak men.” This is such a logical and analytical statement that it has been idealized since the times of emperors and empires. Strong empires arose and suddenly fell, rotting from within themselves, not from the outside. Take a look at the Great Roman Empire under Marcus Aurelius; it all ended up somewhere in a narrow ditch.

Nevertheless, our times in the time frames are of great civilization and modernization, such good times to tell. The same good times produce weak men. These weak men are the roots of the degradation of our social etiquette and norms; these are the same weak men who lead us, not sensing the thrill of time. The same men who impose and legalize such abominable laws and moral crimes, in other words, the engineers of celebrating sin in our days.

A reputation disregarding acts we are forced to adopt. From the same men, international bodies arise to protect victims of life termination, i.e., granting the wrongdoer rightfully upheld by the Constitution. This has made sin thrive, gaining a derivative part of our lives.

Hold back from these deadly conspiracies; it is high time for the weak man to die and let the strong man be reborn, a rebirth that will positively impact the currently celebrated crimes of abortion. Let life regain her prowess and honors as it used to be in the days of our ancestors.

Let the great cultural heritage regain her public sight and bloom, gleaming past the boundaries of darkness, reshuffling this weakness to preserve and reclaim the great human dignity.
