Over 150 cows, which were raided by suspected criminals, have been recovered by youth this week, in Duk County.
According to the Commissioner, John Chatim Ruei, suspected raiders attacked Patuet and Pagaak, on Tuesday where two people were killed.
The county commissioner added that the youth pursued the raiders and succeeded in recovering over 150 cattle from Pagaak and Patuet.
A total of 106 cows were taken from Pagaak, while 53 from Patuet.
Chatim indicated that the attackers are believed to have crossed over from the Pibor Administrative area.
He added that the security situation has been relatively calm over the past few days following the incidents.
“Actually, the attackers are coming from Pibor, but I haven’t talked to my counterpart there in Pibor because of network. Otherwise, the security in Duk now is good, no problem,” he said.
Attempts to reach the Pibor Administrative area for comment were unsuccessful.
