Famous gospel singer, a talented song writer, Leilah Suzan has left the country in grieve following her tragic death in a fatal car crash.
The heartbreaking news of Laila’s demise became viral on media platforms, on Wednesday, immediately she breathed her last.
Lady Amina, a friend and a colleague to the deceased, in the gospel music industry, expressed her grieve.
“Right now, I am speechless and out of words, I don’t know whether to say thanks to God or cry because nothing convinces me that she is no more,” Amina said while sobbing.
Laila was rushed in a critically condition to Juba teaching hospital, after involving in car accident along Juba-Terekeka Road on Friday last week. She was diagnosed with serious head injury.
The gospel singer was travelling to shoot a music video, where she encountered the tragic incident that later ended her life.
For her part, Catherine Imuta, an upcoming artist, lamented her heart break over Laila’s death. She recalled prosperous and educative time they spent together, with little knowledge that she would turn to dust in no time and leave her in agonizing pain.
“Just like that you are gone sis, after encouraging me last month more about my gospel music when we were chatting through WhatsApp until u asked me where I recorded my song, you have encouraged me a lot and inspired me. you said if am going to perform my song I should inform you, now you are Gone without you seeing me performing, my favorite gospel artist,” Imuta stressed.
Throughout her music career, Leilah Suzan was best known for her breath-taking vocals that charmed the audience with ecstasy and unique tantalizing sense of fashion, earning her 2024 the best Fashionable female gospel artist in the year Award.
The death of the young songstress has wounded and shattered hearts of thousands, as many have taken to the social media to express their grieve.
The talented singer had composed heart-soothing gospel songs that sold out to worshipers inside and outside the country. One of her all-time albums “walls of Jericho” launched on July 2024 flourished in all seasons and won multiple hearts.
Meanwhile, D MARIO, one of the organizing committee members for the funeral of late Laila, communicated the burial arrangement, inviting all Christians and those concerned to come and say their last good byes to the fallen singer.
“In consultation with the family and the committee from the Church fraternity, the burial is agreed to be on Friday 3:00Pm at the Family house in Gumbo along Don Bosco Road.” Mario stated.
Efforts to reach closest family members of late Laila for more information, were unfruitful.
