Education officials trained on public finance management

Over twenty education officers have been trained in public finance management and accountability in Yei River County, Central Equatoria State.

The three days training was conducted by National Ministry of Public Service, in collaboration with Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of General Education.

Assistant Inspector for Management Services and Civil Reform in the Ministry of Public Service, Samuel Mayen Mathiang, emphasized the importance of the training for education department.

He highlighted its focus on managing public finance, particularly at the county education level.

Meanwhile, Juan Margret Lomora, the Education Director of Yei River County, expressed her gratitude to the ministries for providing this training.

She stated that it would equip the participants with the skills necessary for effective financial management and accountability.

“The training has been very beneficial from the beginning, and it will significantly enhance our participants’ understanding of public finance management. I thank the Ministries of Education, Finance, and Public Service for improving our knowledge,” Margret remarked.

She urged all participants to take the insights gained from the training seriously, as it has a profound impact on their understanding of public finance management
