South Sudan President Salva Kiir Mayardit has dismissed Central Equatoria State governor, Augustino Jadalla.
In series of decrees read over state media on Monday, the president also appointed Gen Rabi Mujung Emmanuel as new governor for Central Equatoria state.
The President Made the changes on Monday through presidential decree readout through the state own TV SSBC.
The changes follow the recent allegations surrounding the relocation of the state headquarters from Juba.
CES is the host state for South Sudan Capital Juba. The state has series of controversies such as land grabbing, wrangles between South Sudan Revenue Authority and the state, over taxes.
This week, the Central Equatoria government refuted claims that it intended to move the state capital from Juba County to Yei River County.
This statement comes in response to social media reports suggesting that the former governor of the state, Augustino Jadalla Kamilo Wani was planning the relocation in an effort to address the rampant land-grabbing issues.
