The youth of Magwi County in Eastern Equatoria state have yesterday applauded Governor Louis Lobong Lojore for maintaining peace across the state.
This follows the Governor’s engagement in a meeting with the Youth of Magwi County at the State Secretariat Hall.
According to a statemen issued by the State gubernatorial press unit, the youth expressed their gratitude to the governor for maintaining peace across the state and for his unwavering dedication to leading Eastern Equatoria with love, integrity, and vision.
The statement noted they particularly appreciated him for the efforts in making Magwi County safe for residents, especially amid the challenges posed by the cattle influx in the region.
It also highlighted that the youth also acknowledged the support provided by the governor to those affected by previous crises and commended the collective contributions of the people of Eastern Equatoria towards assisting displaced persons.
These efforts have fostered a spirit of unity, love, and solidarity within the community.
“Despite these positive developments, the youth highlighted several challenges hindering their activities and called on the governor to address these issues promptly to prevent further setbacks that could impact both their livelihoods and the community at large” statement read.
The statement stated that the Lobong expressed his appreciation for the proactive engagement and openness demonstrated by the youth. He urged them to remain patient as he works to find sustainable solutions to their concerns. The governor assured them that he is committed to addressing these matters and asked for continued cooperation.
It underscored Governor Lobong thanked the youth of Magwi for their initiative in sharing ideas and fostering mutual understanding. He also encouraged them to keep producing food for both market sale and household consumption, emphasizing the importance of agricultural development for the community’s prosperity.
