The governor of Central Equatoria state (CES) and the Chairperson of the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM) in Central Equatoria State, Rabi Mujung Emmanuel has set the tone for a renewed leadership approach focused on unity and innovation.

This followed his first strategic, consultative staff meeting convened on Friday, held at the party’s State Secretariat in Juba.

The meeting aimed at acquainting the new chairperson with the inner workings of the secretariat while also creating space to address internal challenges and chart a forward-looking course aligned with the SPLM’s broader vision and mission.

Governor Mujung emphasized the importance of collective leadership and a shared sense of purpose, urging staff to embrace creativity as a tool to reinvigorate the party’s agenda across Central Equatoria.

“Collective leadership is essential,” he stressed. “We must move forward with unity and innovation,” Mujung said.

The session, moderated by the Assistant Secretary for Culture, Information, and Communication, Emmanuel Kose, who also serves as the state party spokesperson, focused on wide-ranging discussions that covered operational gaps and institutional performance within the SPLM secretariat as well as the identification of ways that will improve coordination within the secretariat.

This strategic, consultative meeting marks a strategic reset for the SPLM in the state, with expectations of renewed energy to drive outreach and mobilization efforts. The process is expected to yield actionable reforms aimed at strengthening administrative efficiency and supporting grassroots-level structures ahead of key political engagements by the party.
