President Salva Kiir, Thursday evening issued several decrees removing and appointing senior government officials in Northern Bahr El Ghazal state.
In the decrees announced on the state-owned television, SSBC, President Salva Kiir removed the commissioner of Aweil North County, state ministers and members of independent commissions.
Among the officials fired, are Hon. Victorino Ken Akoon, commissioner of Aweil North County-SPLM party, Hon. Aguer Wol Aguer, state minister of Land and Housing-SPLM Party, Hon. William Deng Tong, minister of Labor and Public Services-SPLM party.
Others include Hon. Lucia Kaku, minister of Gender, Child and Social Welfare, Hon. Dominic Kang Deng, deputy chairperson for the Relief and Rehabilitation Commission-SPLM Party and Hon. Garang Amet Ater, Member of Conflict Resolution and Reconciliation Commission (SPLM).
President Kiir also issued decree for the appointment of Dominic Kang Deng, as minister of Land, Housing and utilities SPLM, Hon. Daniel Deng Deng Lual, as minister of Labour and Public Service SPLM, and Hon. Monica Nyibol Aleu, as minister of Gender, Child and Social Welfare SPLM party
More on the list of those appointed are Hon. Kerubino Thiep Tong, as Commissioner for Aweil East County SPLM and Hon. Kiir Chan Wol commissioner of Aweil North County SPLM party.
Hon. Angelo Deng Akol, Deputy Chairperson, Relief and Rehabilitation Commission (SPLM) and Hon. Anguei Akot Akot, Member, Conflict Resolution and Reconciliation Commission (SPLM) top up the list.
The new county commissioner for Aweil East County, Hon. Kerubino Thiep Tong, succeeded former Commissioner Kiir Yor Lual, who is currently working as Executive Director in the office of the President.
