Azande King jets to USA for 1st Anniversary

The king of the Azande kingdom Atoroba Peni Rikito Gbudue left South Sudan to United States of America for the 1st Anniversary celebration which will take place this month.

According to the kingdom’s press secretary, Jackson Gaaniko, the king was invited by members of Azande community living in North America.

“King Atoroba will meet the Azande community of North America, Australia, Canada and Switzerland to celebrate the first coronation of the throne,” Gaaniko said.

In the traditional history, His Royal Majesty, King Atoroba Peni Rikito Gbudue took up the throne after 117 years following the death of Azande Ancient King Gbudue in 1905.

The king of the Azande kingdom is expected to return back to the Kingdom before the end of this month.

Information from the Western Equatoria state based royal indicates that King Atoroba was accompanied on the trip by Prince Badagbu Daniel Rimbasa Gbudue, of the Azande kingdom.
