Illuminate your world with the light of His word

By Anyon Ngoor Gorjok

You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.

Neither do men light a candle and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick, nor does it give light to all that is in the world.

Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your father, who is in heaven, Mathew 5:14-16.

Praise, the Lord; I am glad to share more thoughts today on this precious life-changing message of illuminating your world with the light of his word. Remember, remember John 1:1, in the beginning, was the word, the word was with God, and the word was God.

You need to grasp that we live in a world where darkness is reigning seriously and the God of heaven has made us light in our world. Every one of us has a sphere of influence. All of us have a world of our own, for example, the people around us. There are people that I will never meet till I die, but you have met them yourself, and there are those that I know that you will never meet till you die. It’s because we are all peculiar; our destinies and lanes are different.

The world where we abide today is in total darkness, but there is hope given it, and that hope is you and me. As partakers of the divine nature of Christ Jesus, we have been given the privilege of lighting our world. Jesus, the first light of the world, has bought us back from the devil to the Father, and the Bible says that as he is, so are we on the earth, so that same measure of illumination he expelled to his world when he was on earth is also resident in us.

Whatever Jesus is, all the fullness of him is at work in us, and our responsibility is to bring it out to our world and bless it.

In our opening scripture above, we are told that we are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden; in other words, the effulgence of God’s glory in you cannot be hidden. You must light your world; nothing can stop you. Once the light comes on, darkness immediately backs off.
Why are you considered to be on top of the earth today? The God of heaven and earth has his nature in you; you express the same virtue of glory to your world in the same measure. He says that you are head and not the tail; the adversities of life can’t hold you down or overwhelm you; the glory of light is in you; they are all subdued in Jesus’ name, Amen!

Give liberty to the light in you to bless your world. Don’t snuff it off by the sin and sorts of wicked things done in our generation in the name of enjoyment.

Remember, remember this scripture in the book of Matthew is referring to us who are already in Christ Jesus, saved by the blood of our Lord Jesus, king of glory. We must walk in the light as children of the light.

Let’s avert unrighteous living and embrace the life it brought us to enjoy and make positive in our world. 1 Corinthians 6:20 says: You are bought with a price; therefore, glorify God in your spirit, soul, soul and body.

When you receive Jesus as lord of your life, you cease to live independent of God’s guidance. Your life and decision-making process are determined by the master who bought you with his precious blood.

Therefore, from today on, live a life of exemplary glorifying the name of the Lord; allow your light to shine on your family, friends, and all the people who are around you to glorify God for the good works you do, and your reward on earth and in the earth will wait for you in Jesus mighty name, Amen!

Prophetic Confessions

Lord, as I shine my world, may the effulgence of your glory be felt everywhere in Jesus’ mighty name. My world is privileged to see me shine so positively as I adhere to the radiation of your word daily through diligent study and committed prayer. I am a wonder to my world, and I will continually make positive changes in my world for your glory in Jesus’ name, Amen!

Prayer of salvation

today I acknowledge you, Lord, as the master of my life. Thank you for dying on the cross of Calvary. I believe and adhere to my heart for a change, Lord. My confession is made unto salvation. I am born again in Jesus’ name, amen!
