High Revulsion and Grief Following Brutal Killings in Wonduruba and Kulipapa of Ganji Payam, Juba County

The tranquil communities of Wonduruba Administrative Payam and Kulipapa in Ganji Payam of Juba, Central Equatoria State, have been shaken to the core following the shocking and brutal killing of 19 innocent youth.

The incidents, which have left families devastated and the community in mourning, have sparked widespread outrage and calls for justice.

The Incident Overview;

Reports indicate that the killings occurred over a span of several days, with armed assailants targeting young men within the communities. Eyewitness accounts suggest that victims were taken by force from their homes and later found dead in the surrounding areas. The details are harrowing, with some bodies showing signs of extreme violence, raising grave concerns about the motives behind the attacks.

Local leaders and activists have condemned the violence, describing it as an attack on the very fabric of community life. Many of the victims were reported to be actively involved in community development programs and were well-regarded among their peers as heirs in the community’s wellbeing.

From a human rights  perspective,  personally expressed grave concern about the rise in violence in Central Equatoria State, therefore urging the government to take immediate and decisive action to address the root causes of such brutality.“ This tragic incident highlights the ongoing conflict and instability that continues to plague many areas in South Sudan. It is imperative that the government work towards lasting peace and security for all its citizens.

The call for justice is resonating far beyond the borders of Wonduruba administrative Payam and Kulipapa of Ganji payam Juba County. Many South Sudanese across the globe are using social media to raise awareness about the killings, encouraging international support for the victims’ families and community members who are now living in fear of what shall come next after this scandal.
