The Jonglei State Ministry of Health launched the Pneumonia and Rotavirus Vaccination Campaign in Bor on Monday.
Magook Aluong, an official in the EPI department of the Jonglei State Ministry of Health, stated that the vaccine targets children aged 6 to 59 months.
“Yes, the campaign has started, and all children within this age group should be vaccinated. This is especially important during this season,” he emphasized.
Mr. Aluong urged residents to participate in the vaccination campaign.
“We will conduct extensive public awareness efforts to ensure everyone receives the message. The vaccination exercise is expected to be completed in seven days,” he added.
According to health officials, the campaign is set to last for seven days in Bor and is supported by the World Health Organization (WHO) and UNICEF.
