Governor Adil jets to Türkiye for investment opportunities

By William Madouk

Central Equatoria State governor, Emmanuel Adil has travelled to the Republic of Türkiye to explore business and investment opportunities between the two countries.

“The Governor, accompanied by State Minister of Animal Resources, Fisheries, and Tourism, Alex Lotiyu Elia, have departed for a three-day State working visit,” the governor’s press unit said.

Mr. Adil flew to Ankara on an invitation from Heran International Group to cement relations and embark on business opportunities that would benefit Central Equatoria State and the nation at large.

According to the press unit, while in Turkey, the governor will hold a meeting with the top executive of Heran Group on mutual interests.

“The purpose of the visit is to explore business and investment opportunities and deepen the relationship between South Sudan and Turkey,” governor’s press unit noted.

The Governor was on Friday, seen off at Juba International Airport by the Deputy Governor, Sarah Nene, and other key government officials.

Before departure, Governor Adil had appealed to the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) to support the government in ensuring safe return of refugees from neighbouring countries.

The governor said the government is working hard to ensure that there is peace in the country to enhance the return of refugees to South Sudan, adding that the country still remains in dire need of support.

Adil argued that provision of essential services to humanity would be an immediate ingredient in advancing the return of refugees back home.
