Adil launches road reconstruction

Central Equatoria State Governor, Emmanuel Adil has launched road rehabilitation project, aimed at decongesting traffic in Juba city.

The road expansion project is a part of realization of a robust transformative initiative of expanding road network within the city in a bid to decongest traffic jams at Custom and the University of Juba.

Speaking at the launch, Governor Adil reiterated his commitment towards expansive creation of a road network in conformity with the State Government’s strategic direction of keeping Juba clean, safe and green.

He appealed to residents to cooperate with the State authority, especially in embracing the spirit of “Keep Juba Clean” as a collective responsibility.

He called for vigilance among the general public, especially on a rampant littering within the streets.

Meanwhile, the acting city mayor, Emmanuel Khamis Richard said the road network starting from Nyakuron-Mango Star, via National Security Road, to Jebel market and others.

The mayor also commended Point Investment Company Limited for their commitment as an implementing partner.

He called for continuous cooperation to pave way for timely realization of the ongoing infrastructural projects in the city.
