Kiir reshuffles, Central Bank tops

President Salva Kiir Mayardit on Monday evening issued several decrees sacking and appointing new government officials.

Affected areas include the Central Bank, Ministry of Finance and Planning, Ministry of Trade and Industry and National Revenue Authority (NRA).

Governor of Central Bank, Mr. Johny Ohisa Damain tops the list of officials who have been relieved of their duties through the Monday Decrees, while, Mr. James Alic Garang has been appointed as the new governor of Central Bank.

In another decree, Mr. Addis Ababa Othow is relieved from being the first deputy governor of Central Bank, while Mr.  Samuel Yanga Mikaya takes over as the new first deputy governor of Central Bank.

Mr. John Machiek Achuoth, in a separate decree, is relieved as the second deputy governor of Central Bank, Nyiel Gordon Kuol is appointed as a replacement.

Athian Diing Athian has also been affected by the Monday decree as the Commissioner General of the National Revenue Authority (NRA).

Africano Mande has been elevated from the position of Deputy Commissioner General of the National Revenues Authority (NRA) to replace his former boss as the Commissioner General of National Revenue authority.

Albino Dak Kur, take over as the new deputy commissioner general of the National Revenue Authority (NRA).

Meanwhile, Mary Akech Taban has also been sacked as the Undersecretary of Ministry of Trade and Industry.

Kuol Daniel Ayulo has been relieved as the First Undersecretary of Finance and transferred to Ministry of Trade and Industry as the new Undersecretary, while Malual Tap Diu is appointed to First Undersecretary of Finance in the Ministry of Finance and Planning.
