Over 3,952 thousand primary school pupils in Eastern Equatoria state are preparing for the South Sudan Certificate of Primary Leaving Examination, set to begin on November 20th.
The state Director General for the Ministry of General Education and Instruction Sundar Peter directed examination monitors to exercise discipline and educate candidates on examination rules and regulations to follow national standard formats.
Mr. Lokulang Lokudu, the Director for Quality Assurance and Standards, urged candidates to do thorough revisions as the exams are approaching.
The number of pupils sitting this year is higher than in 2022, with 1,808 female and 2,244 male candidates.
A total of 155 primary schools are now prepared to sit in at least 47 examination centers across the eastern equatorial state.
The Director for Quality Assurance and Standards assured state communities of better cooperation with education partners operating in the state.
