Speaking during his reception, Gen. Hussein said he was committed to working closely with officers to combat criminal activities, particularly the notorious youth gangs in Yei River County.

“I am very happy for the warm welcome I received. I am assuring everyone else to stay with love so that we achieve total peace in Yei because I heard there are many gang activities in the town and it will be very simple to track down such issues,” he said.

He further pledged to collaborate with the police force and the community, promoting peace and unity for the betterment of Yei.

Meanwhile, Major John Faisal, the former acting police inspector, expressed his appreciation to the police for embracing the new inspector and peacefully handed over the office, including the necessary documents.

“We are very happy to receive a new police inspector to high police headquarters and appreciate all the police forces for warmly receiving the new chief inspector of police Yei River County. I will be handing the office to him officially including the stump and police in Yei are working closely with the citizens in Yei,” he stated.
