The people of Yei River County are preparing and eagerly awaiting the arrival of Governor, Augustino Jadalla Wani.
In preparation for the governor’s upcoming tour of the state’s six counties, over ten reception committees have been formed in Yei.
The date of the visit is yet to be communicated.
Hillary Konga, the Executive Director of Yei River County, has been appointed as the chairman of the high-level reception committee.
Konga expressed that the people are excited and ready to welcome the new governor, despite the many challenges faced by the county and the state as a whole.
Konga called on the state and county governments, as well as partners and the entire Yei community, including traders, to collectively contribute funds for the governor’s reception.
He emphasized that the county alone cannot bear the high cost of living caused by the ongoing human disaster.
