Newly installed deputy governor of Central Equatoria State (CES), Paulino Lukudu Obede has appealed to the citizens to collectively embrace peace and unity to build a prosperous and stable state.
In his first address after assuming office, he called for “peace and reconciliation among the citizens” emphasizing the importance of unity and collective effort in building a stronger and more prosperous state.
He stressed the need for unity and collective effort in strengthening the state and driving its future development.
The deputy governor also expressed his commitment to engaging closely with the youth, recognizing them as the foundation of the country and essential for its long-term stability and progress.
Obede urged all communities within the state to come together, heal past wounds, and work towards a future marked by trust and cooperation.
This call for unity comes at a time when CES is facing a range of challenges, including land disputes, abductions, road ambushes, inter-communal conflicts, and floods.
The deputy governor pledged the government’s readiness and commitment to fostering peace, security, and development for all citizens.
