Nuer community in South Sudan, on Saturday, launched a cultural gala, aimed at showcasing diversity and beauty, across various clans, clubs, and groups, that exist in the country.
The event, organized by Nuer Youth Union (NYU) under the theme Preserving Our Heritage, Advancing Peace, and Championing Justice & Social Change, brings hundreds of participants to Freedom Hall, over the weekend.
The event attracted cultural groups from Akobo, Nasir, Guit, Koch, Ayod, Rubkotna, Longechuk, Payinjiar, Nyirol, Mayiandit, Ulang, Mayom, Fangak, Leer, Maiwut, and Uror to showcase their cultures.
Other communities, such as the Dinka, Bari, and Shilluk, among others, also fell suit in celebrating the Nuer festival, by showcasing their cultures.
