Thousands gathered to commemorate Eid Al-Fitr, including the heads of Yei River County of Central Equatoria State.
The Commissioner of Yei River County joined the Muslims during the Eid celebration on Sunday, coinciding with Christian prayers that took place that morning.
Commissioner Emmanuel assured the Muslim community of a peaceful Eid Al-Fitr as they celebrated this significant day in Yei River County.
Khemis Noah, the chairperson of the Islamic Council, congratulated Commissioner Emmanuel Taban Seme and the entire community of Yei River County for commemorating Eid Al-Fitr.
He emphasized that the day is crucial for building peace throughout the county and serves as a symbol of unity.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Sudanese communities praised the Commissioner for participating in the Eid Day celebration at Yei Freedom Square on Sunday morning.
He stated, “This is a blessed day and is very important for all Muslim communities as well as for the entire population of South Sudan.”
