By James Innocent

Coniah Medical Complex has donated 3,489,550 South Sudanese Pounds, to the account of Kikiji National Orphanage Centre.

According to Kenyi Patrick Daniel, the Director of the institution, the funds will cover school fees for 62 orphans.
He said that management team of Coniah Medical Complex had promised support the orphans.

Mr. Kenyi urged partners, the government, and individuals to support the orphanage center in fostering the education of the orphans.

“It is my sincere hope that these funds reach these affected children so that they can access education comprehensively,” he added.

Dominic Living Wawa, co-founder and Executive Director of Kikiji National Orphanage Centre, stated, “Responding on behalf of the children and management, we are pleased to confirm the fulfillment of the generous pledge made by Coniah Medical Complex to support the education of 62 children at the Kikiji National Orphanage Centre. In April 2025, we received a total of 3,489,550 SSP, reflecting the commitment made by Coniah Medical Complex during our ‘Educate an Orphan Child’ fundraising campaign held on January 29, 2025.”

He further stated, “this contribution has been vital, allowing us to cover the school fees for our children for the first term. We are immensely grateful for the support from Coniah Medical Complex, which has enabled us to provide a brighter future for these 62 children at a time when our current economic situation poses significant challenges for us to pay for the 118 children currently under our care and support.”

In a related development, Mr. Dominic highlighted the ongoing economic hardships in South Sudan, which have dramatically affected their orphanage.

The children continue to struggle with inadequate access to basic necessities, particularly food and medicine. Many of the children are experiencing health issues due to these deficiencies, which exacerbate their vulnerable situation.

With a heavy heart, they acknowledge the pressing need for continuous support, as they have only managed to address their educational requirements for this term.

He added, “As we look ahead to the next term, we earnestly appeal to well-wishers, government bodies, organizations, and churches for their generous contributions to help us sustain this important initiative. We are praying and hoping for assistance to ensure that our children do not face further challenges in their education and well-being; they are counting on us, and they extend many thanks to Coniah Medical Complex for their kindness and support this term. Their commitment has made a tangible difference in the lives of the children.”

Previously, the founder of Coniah Medical Complex, Kenyi Patrick, donated one million South Sudanese Pounds to Kikiji National Orphanage Centre to support necessary scholastic materials.

Expressing his gratitude, one of the beneficiaries, Emmanuel Luke, applauded the management of Coniah Medical Complex for providing them with the support needed to study, given that they do not have parents.
